Which personal data we collect and why

Registered users

When you register as a user of ICTBooks.com, we store your name, email address, address and other personal data that you actively provide by creating an account on this website. These data are used to process your orders.

Contact form

When you fill in the contact form on the Contact page and send it, we store your name and e-mail address in order to be able to respond to your question or message.

Cookies

If you are a registered user and log in to this site, we will store a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. A cookie is a small file that is sent to your browser when loading pages of a website, and is stored on the device you are using. This temporary cookie does not contain personal data and is discarded as soon as you close the browser.

As soon as you log in, we will save some cookies in connection with your login information and screen display options. Login cookies are stored for 2 days and cookies for screen display options for 1 year. Login cookies will be deleted as soon as you log out of your account.

The website contains several buttons to promote or share pages via Facebook and Google+. These buttons are pieces of code provided by the social media in question and make use of a cookie. This cookie remembers that you are logged in, so you do not have to log in on Facebook, for example, every time you want to share something. We use Google Analytics to register your visit to the site. To protect your privacy, we have made a data processing agreement with Google Analytics, the last octet of your IP address has been masked, and in Google Analytics, we have deactivated the option of sharing data. Moreover, we do not use other Google services in combination with Google Analytics.

With whom we share personal data

We do not share personal data with other parties.

How long we store personal data

The personal data of a registered user are stored until the user indicates that he or she no longer wishes to be registered as a user. A request for this can be sent by e-mail to info@ict-books.com For more information see below under ‘View, modify or delete data’.

For registered users of the website we also store personal information in their user profile. All users can view, change or delete their personal information at any time. Website administrators can also view and change this information.

The data collected via the contact form are stored for a maximum of 2 years.

For the security of the site, we store the IP addresses for a maximum of 2 years.

The data collected through Google Analytics are stored for 26 months.

View, modify or delete data

You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your consent regarding the processing of data or to object to the processing of your personal data by ICT Books, and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can request us to send you, or an organization specified by you, a computer file of the personal data concerning you we have stored.

You can send a request for viewing, modifying, deleting or transferring your personal data to info@ict-books.com. You can also write to this address for withdrawing your consent or for objecting to the processing of your personal data.

To ensure that the request for access to the personal data has been made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your ID with the request. To protect your privacy, in this copy, black out your passport photo, the machine readable zone (the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and citizen service (or social security) number. We will respond as quickly as possible, but within 4 weeks, to your request.
