Sogeti experts and its trend lab VINT have written a number of books over the last couple of years. These publications are a true asset for knowledge sharing and strengthening the Sogeti brand. ICT Books is meant to facilitate access to these. It serves as an archive of recent publications on the topics of Testing, Inspiration/Trends, Architecture, Technology and Cloud. The publications are available as a download (PDF and/or eBook) and/or a printed book.

Special price for clients and partners

Although many publications are available as a free download, some are not available free of charge. However, because Sogeti values its relationship with you, we offer certain publications at a special price.

If you want to order a Sogeti publication and want to find out if it is available to you at a discount, please ask your local Sogeti contact.

This format is supported by Adobe, Sony reader and other eBook readers. It can be rendered on many mobile devices including iPhones. If you do not have an ePub reader already installed on your system, you can download one here.

Features

  • ePub is the most popular open book format.
  • Displayed in a reflow-centric XHTML-based format.
  • Can be viewed by Adobe Digital Editions (ADE), Sony readers, iPad, Calibre, FB Readers, Stanza and Aldiko.
  • Presents the eBook in a natural page format with page-turn functionality.
  • Supports bookmarking functionality.
  • Has library management features.

Almost the opposite, really. Proper ePub formatting lets your words reflow at a readable size to fit any device, much like words on a web page reflow when you resize the window. Readers can change fonts, sizes, even colors, to suit their personal preferences. Because an ePub format book is flexible, your book may be 200 pages on a big device, 600 pages on a small one. But it’s always very legible. PDFs were designed to look exactly the same on every computer screen: the fonts, size, and layout are all locked in place, as if they were a photograph. That’s great for computers. But on small e-reader devices, PDF documents shrink to unreadable proportions.

No. Although DRM is meant to help protect your eBook from being shared, it causes problems with some eBook devices. Because it’s easy to get hacked, it doesn’t protect much anyway. Online distributors like Amazon and Lulu add eBook copy protection for you if you want it, so we leave that up to you when we design your ePub book. People share digital books about as often as they share real books—a little, not a lot.
However, the ePub files contain visible personalisation and multiple invisible watermarks in all data files, without sacrificing compatibility.

The ISBN is an independent identification number associated with a book. An eBook does not use the same ISBN as the paper edition.

You can print PDFs and notes you’ve entered from iBooks, but the option to print ePub books is not available. You can also email PDFs and notes you have written from iBooks.

You can change the font displayed onscreen. Tap the Fonts button to display the Fonts panel, then tap Fonts. This displays a list of available fonts; tap the one you want to use.
